Dermal fillers are one of the most popular, nonsurgical options for solving aging skin problems. Also known as “injectables” or “soft-tissue fillers,” do just what their name suggests — they fill in the area under the skin to smooth the appearance of deep folds or creases in the following ways:
Fillers that use hyaluronic acid are generally reversible. Some fillers will last roughly six months, while others can last years. Some fillers are designed for deep tissue while others are best at targeting more shallow areas. The filler that works best for you will depend greatly on your desired results and how long you would like those results to last.
Some people are fortunate to be born with perfectly shaped, full lips. Others are born with naturally thin or unevenly full lips. Ageing also changes the shape of the lips and mouth, as the skin, fat, and muscle of the area thin, and as the structural support for the lips diminishes with age related bone loss.
The ideal lip shape varies for each racial background, but we are discovering that there are some common proportions known as “golden rules” that still applies to most of us. At FaceSpa on the Gold Coast, we follow those guidelines for our treatments with dermal fillers, for the best results in lip enhancement.
One of the most important factors when getting your lips treated, is how much to use. While some clients do like very full lips, others are often afraid of looking overdone, so at FaceSpa we take extreme care to listen to your needs and deliver the most natural lips possible. We only use trusted high quality fillers for natural and fluid lips, with less bumpiness and swelling.
Before the procedure, we will always numb your lips with either topical numbing cream or dental numbing for a complete painless experience. Results should last 6 to 12 months. FaceSpa does not use or recommend permanent products for the lips, as they are often associated with lumpy and uneven results, the risks are just not worth it.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler can rejuvenate the face by restoring youthful volume to the cheeks, cheekbones, and chin. People love their refreshed younger appearance, and are delighted that the results are so subtle and natural looking, that none of their friends can tell that they have undergone an aesthetic procedure. Naturally occurring in the body, hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate and add volume to our skin.
Results are long lasting, natural looking and reversible! We use trusted premium dermal fillers for cheek augmentation, which is a thicker filler product to provide support for this area. They usually last longer too, usually 18 to 24 months.
Treatments are usually quite comfortable as this area expands well. We use numbing cream to minimise any discomfort, and there is no real downtime, although bruising can occur, but is fairly rare. Results are immediate so you will leave the office looking refreshed and voluminous.
The biggest beauty complaint, without a doubt, is wrinkles and ageing skin. Nasolabial folds or Smile Lines, is one of the most common areas treated with dermal fillers, as we can smooth and shallow those areas giving you a more youthful look.
Thanks to the silky consistency and lightweight composition of hyaluronic acid, you can expect smooth and natural results. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring lubricant found in the skin tissue of every person, which can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. This quality makes it ideal for use in many cosmetic surgery procedures. As it is so well hydrated, hyaluronic acid offers visible yet natural-looking results with minimal downtime. It is a temporary option and completely reversible if results are not satisfactory.
Treatments can be done with numbing cream or dental numbing for comfort. Downtime is usually a few days, but can be up to 2 weeks if bruising occurs, although this is not common. Results are immediate and should last 6 to 12 months.
